When your pain doesn't make sense.
I help patients understand joint pain, stiffness, swelling, gout, arthritis, autoimmune symptoms, and confusing blood test results.

If your joint pain, stiffness, joint swelling or blood test do not make sense, I am here to help you understand what may be happening.
You may not know if you need a rheumatologist yet.
Many patients do not come in saying, “I need a rheumatologist.” They come in because something does not feel right.
- Your fingers may feel stiff every morning.
- Your joint may be swollen again.
- Your blood test may show a positive ANA.
- Your back pain may feel worse when you rest.
- Or you may simply feel tired, feverish, achy, or not like yourself for a long time.
My role is to help look for the pattern behind these symptoms.
You do not need to have all the answers before seeing me. That is what the consultation is for.

If any of these sound familiar, a rheumatology review may help bring things into focus.
What I do as a rheumatologist
Not all joint pain needs surgery.
I look after joints, muscles, bones, arthritis, gout, autoimmune and inflammatory conditions — often the clue lives somewhere unexpected.
I help you understand whether your symptoms may be linked to inflammation, autoimmunity, arthritis, gout, bone health or long-term pain.
Joints, muscles and bones
Autoimmune and inflammatory conditions
Interpretation of rheumatology blood tests
Osteoporosis and bone health
Symptoms I often help with
These are some of the patterns I see often. They are explained in plain language, not a diagnosis.
Sudden painful swollen joint
This may be gout or another crystal-related arthritis.
Morning stiffness and swollen fingers
This may point toward inflammatory arthritis.
Positive ANA or confusing blood tests
I help patients understand what these results may mean.
Back pain that improves with movement
Some back pain patterns may be inflammatory.
Fever, rash or swollen lymph nodes
Sometimes these symptoms may be linked to autoimmune disease.
Weak bones or fracture risk
I also assess osteoporosis and bone health.
Long-term widespread pain
I help assess pain patterns, including fibromyalgia-type symptoms.
These descriptions are for general education only. They are not a diagnosis and do not replace a personal consultation.
When should you consider seeing me?
You do not need to know the diagnosis before you come in. That is what the consultation is for. You may consider a rheumatology review if you have:
Morning stiffness lasting more than 30 minutes
Swollen, warm or tender joints
Joint swelling that keeps coming back
Positive ANA, rheumatoid factor, high CRP or high ESR
Back pain for more than 3 months, especially under age 45
Back pain that is worse at rest and better with movement
Prolonged fever or swollen lymph nodes
Persistent fatigue, pain or symptoms that are not explained

WhatsApp the clinicJoint pain is rarely only about one joint.
I trained in internal medicine before specialising in rheumatology because joint pain is rarely only about one joint.
In rheumatology, we often need to look at the whole person. The symptoms, the blood tests, the joints, the immune system, the bones, and the pattern over time all matter.

Recent blood tests
Previous X-rays, scans or reports
Current medication list

A short timeline of your symptoms

A symbol of support, hope and growth.

My logo is based on the tree of life, with the spine forming the trunk.
To me, it represents support, hope and growth. Many patients come in feeling confused or worried because their symptoms do not make sense yet. I wanted the clinic identity to reflect the idea of helping patients feel supported while we look for answers.
